Collaborating with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature, Apple launched apps for Earth Day.
With heightened awareness of environ- mental issues, in 1993 IKEA, alongside Greenpeace, World Wildlife Fund for Nature ("WWF"), and more than 100 other participants initi- ated and founded the Forest Stewardship Council ("FSC"), an indepen- dent international network promoting responsible management of the world's forests.82 In 2015, IKEA's catalogue, which was distributed to more than 200 million people worldwide, became the largest print pro- duction ever to be fully FSC certified.83
Bilateral relationships with organiza- tions such as FSC (Forest Sustainability Council), WWF (World Wild- life Fund), and WRI (World Resources Institute) boost the company's expertise to develop healthier supply chains and more sustainable forest management systems in the world.
So a number of nongovernmental organizations, including World Wildlife Fund and Greenpeace, joined forces and crafted an innovative nongovernmental, independent international for- est certification scheme.
, International Paper, and Williams-Sonoma partnered with FSC US and the World Wildlife Fund to create a campaign, called One Simple Action, One Pro- found Impact, to help people understand how purchasing FSC-certified products helps sustain our forests.
